Freedom Not Fear;

An image I provided for NO2ID and the Open Rights Group. They wanted an image which summed up the surveillance culture which has become so predominant in the UK's political landscape. The image was then mosaiced using photos of 'surveillance state ephemera' (which were taken by concerned citizens and uploaded into Flickr). This was then assembled as a giant protest picture in Parliament Square.

An actual Painting...

...as opposed to all that photoshop malarkey (which is all well and good, but doesn't leave you much in the way of a physical object which you could, say, sell - therefore actual paintings are the plan for this year). This is called The March and is 40 by 32 inches, acrylic on canvas.

Haruki Murakami; after the quake

I'm a huge Haruki Murakami fan and am re-reading 'after the quake', a collection of short stories inspired by the Kobe earthquake that struck Japan in 1995. The seismic top half of this piece was created from a drawing my brother, Stuart, did -

Sometimes Things Work Out Different;

This started off being a piece inspired by a Haruki Murakami short story and ended up being something completely different. Sometimes this happens and is not to be feared, we like accidents round here. Thanks to Tom for the loan of his FACE.

Fear; it's the growth industry of the 21st Century. This piece contains elements from a 1950's sci fi comic strip called 'Power Mad!' - sadly I don't know who drew it as artists were rarely credited back then. I used this couple on 'Silverships' as well.

Ouija Man

Welcome!

First picture on the blog, a cheery welcome from the Ouija Man. I'm going to be using this site as an online gallery for my artwork while I try and work out how to design an actual website. There should be fairly regular updates so feel free to come back anytime.
